Throughout its history, Daxie has thrived as a vibrant coastal village, flourishing during the Tang and Song dynasties and maintaining its importance through a strong connection to the sea. Yet, for much of its past, Daxie remained a small fishing village, where residents lived in harmony with the island’s natural rhythms, embracing simplicity and resourcefulness.

Spanning 30.84 square kilometers, with over half of its area consisting of flat land, Daxie Island is known for its stunning coastal landscapes. Our journey is deeply connected to the spirit of Daxie Island, as exemplified by the story of Chen Haimin, the founder of Aifeibao, IslandSafe’s parent company.

Born and raised on Daxie Island, Chen began his career as a welder in his father’s small factory. Despitehis humble beginnings, he harbored a dream — to create a better life for his family and community.

In 1993, Chen took his first step toward that dream by launching a small retail business. He worked tirelessly to meet the needs of local residents and the military, supplying essential goods with a focus on quality and reliability. His dedication soon earned him the trust of the community, paving the way for greater opportunities.

In 2005, as new industries began to emerge on Daxie Island, Chen saw a golden opportunity. That same year, Wanhua Chemical, a petrochemical leader, established its factory on the island. Recognizing the need of an incoming business, Chen founded a service company tailored to Wanhua’s needs. Thanks to his meticulous attention and foresight, his business model thrived, growing alongside the development of Daxie Island. Over the years, Chen expanded his ventures from services to products, building a legacy of entrepreneurship and innovation and established his business realm.

Today, Chen channels that same entrepreneurial spirit into ISLANDSAFE, where we design safes that embody the strength, reliability, and innovation inspired by our Island.
